Contact temperature probe for solar panel surface measurement

TP878.1SS.0

Contact temperature probe for solar panel surface measurement, 4-wire Pt100 with 1/3 DIN accuracy, -40...+85 °C range, 60 s response time and 5 m cable.

Introduction

Surface temperature on solar panels is a key input for performance assessment and field diagnostics. TP878.1SS.0 is a contact temperature probe designed for direct surface measurements, using a 4-wire Pt100 sensor to support accurate readings in outdoor installations.

The probe covers a -40...+85 °C measuring range with 1/3 DIN accuracy. A 60 s response time (\tau0.63) matches typical surface monitoring tasks where stable contact readings are required. The probe head is compact at ∅ 30 mm x 7.5 mm height, making it easy to place on panel surfaces without bulky fixtures.

Built for practical deployment, the anodized aluminum alloy probe head pairs with a black PVC cable (∅ 4 mm) of 5 m length, terminated with free wires for straightforward connection to compatible measurement or logging equipment.
