Introduction

Surface temperature checks on hot components need a probe that reaches the measuring point and keeps the contact area clearly defined. TP772 measures contact surface temperatures up to 400 °C and uses Type K Class 1 thermocouple construction for work with compatible thermocouple instruments.

The 500 mm stem length provides extended reach where the measuring point is harder to access, while the Ø 5 mm contact surface supports direct temperature measurement on the target surface. Tolerance according to IEC 60584-2 gives users a defined basis for assessing readings.

A 3 s T0.63 response time supports efficient checks where the sensor must react to temperature variation. For surface probes, this response time refers to contact with a metal surface at 200 °C.

Features

Type K thermocouple

The probe uses a Type K thermocouple with Chromel (Ni-Cr) and Alumel (Ni-Al) conductors.

Surface probe design

The probe is designed for direct contact temperature measurement on surfaces with compatible instruments.

Response time reference

The T0.63 response time describes the sensor reaction to a temperature change, reaching 63% of the total signal variation during contact with a metal surface at 200 °C.

Probe dimensions

The probe has a 500 mm stem length and Ø 5 mm contact surface.

Standard tolerance

The thermocouple tolerance follows IEC 60584-2, with Class 1 accuracy.
