Bulk solid silos need a limit switch that is simple to install, easy to check and robust enough for dusty operating conditions. Silocont SIC-350 detects full, empty and demand levels in bulk solids using a mechanical rotary paddle principle.
The compact polymer housing and straightforward mechanism support economical level monitoring across the device lifecycle. Optical rotation control helps installers and service teams check operation quickly without dismantling the unit, while optional automatic rotation monitoring adds security for overfill protection.
The sensor covers process temperatures from -20 °C to +80 °C and absolute process pressure from 0.5 to 2.5 bar. Supply options include 230 VAC, 115 VAC, 24 VAC and 20 to 28 VDC, with a microswitch changeover contact output. Versions are available with shaft lengths from 75 mm to 300 mm or a shorten-able rope length of approx. 2000 mm.
The device uses a mechanical rotary paddle measuring principle for limit detection in bulk solids.
It is used as a full, empty or demand indicator in silos and is specified for media densities ≥ 80 g/l.
Available supply versions include 230 VAC 50/60 Hz, 115 VAC 50/60 Hz, 24 VAC 50/60 Hz and 20 to 28 VDC.
The switching output is a microswitch with changeover contact, specified up to max. 6 A/250 VAC 100 mA.
Connection options include NPT 1-½", NPT 1-¼" and G 1-½" threads, with PBT or 303 material versions.
The measuring paddle is available as standard or foldable version, with 304 material stated in the order code.
Options include rotation control system, signal lamp, foldable measuring paddle and weather protection cover.
