On site, moisture checks often need the right electrodes, a temperature probe and secure transport in one organized case. The SET 38 family supports moisture measuring in wood and soft materials with steel-needle electrodes connected via 4mm banana plugs, while the GTF 38 temperature probe can be inserted into the holes punched by the needles.
Choose the case around the application: SET 38 HF for wood moisture measuring, SET 38 BF for building moisture tasks with measuring rods for insulating materials and chips plus brush probes for 6 mm drill holes in screed or concrete, and SET 38 MPA for glued timber construction with GMH 383x or GMH 385x instruments certified by MPA Stuttgart according to DIN 1052-1.
Each GKK 3500 transportation case has a recess for a compatible GMH 3831 or GMH 3851 meter. The measuring instrument is not included, giving users a practical accessory case for an existing or separately selected GMH setup.
SET 38 HF and SET 38 BF use the GSE 38 impact electrode with GST 91 steel nails. SET 38 MPA uses the GHE 38 sliding hammer electrode with GST 91 steel nails.
The electrode connection is made via 4 mm banana plugs. Only suitable steel needles are specified for use with the electrodes.
The GTF 38 temperature probe is designed to be inserted into holes punched by the electrode needles.
SET 38 BF uses GMS 300/38 measuring rods with the GSE 38 for insulating materials and chips. GBSK 91 brush probes plug directly onto the measuring cable.
The GBSK 91 brush probes in SET 38 BF are suitable for 6 mm drill holes, for example in screed or concrete, with 8-10 cm drill hole spacing.
For dry material, the SET 38 BF source recommends GLP 91 conductive compound to improve contact with the brush probes.
