Conductive rod probe for multipoint level detection

SAT

Conductive rod probe for multipoint level detection in conductive liquids from 1 µS/cm, with up to 7 rods, -40 °C to +150 °C medium temperature, -1 to 10 bar pressure and ATEX option.

Introduction

Tanks and pipework often need more than a single switching point. SAT enables limit detection, minimum and maximum monitoring, overflow protection, dry-run protection and two-point pump control in conductive liquids when used with a suitable evaluation unit.

Depending on the number of rods, the evaluation unit and the use of the vessel wall as ground, up to 7 switching points can be realized. The probe rods are supplied in 500 mm steps and can be shortened by the user, making switching point adjustment straightforward during installation.

SAT is built for demanding media and process conditions. Conductivities from 1 µS/cm can be detected, with medium temperatures from -40 °C to +150 °C and process pressures from -1 to 10 bar. Material options include stainless steel 1.4404/316L or 1.4571/316Ti, Hastelloy C22, PA, ETFE or E-CTFE insulation and POM, PP or PTFE connection materials.

Features

Conductive rod principle

The probe is used with suitable evaluation units for limit detection and level control in conductive liquids.

Rod configurations

Versions with 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 or 7 electrode rods are available, depending on the selected process connection.

Ground connection

The ground connection is made either directly to a conductive vessel or via an electrode rod.

Process connections

ISO 228-1 threaded connections include G½", G1", G1½" and G2", with the maximum rod count depending on thread size.

Line break monitoring

An optional Diodenmodul LBM can be installed in the probe head for permanent cable break monitoring with a suitable evaluation unit.

Probe materials

Rod materials include CrNi steel or Hastelloy C22. Available rod insulation materials include PA, ETFE and E-CTFE.
