Acidic and alkaline media place high demands on temperature sensors, especially at the process contact point. PTG resistance thermometers are designed for Pt100 temperature measurement in applications where acid and alkali resistance is required, with process-side options based on PTFE or stainless steel 1.4571 with Halar® (PTFE) coating.
The sensor uses standardized platinum measuring elements with tolerance classes AA, A and B according to IEC 60751. The measuring element is embedded in magnesium oxide and hermetically sealed inside the protective tube, supporting heat transfer and vibration protection. Standard measuring temperatures at the tip cover -70°C...+300°C, with +500°C/+600°C high-temperature versions and low-temperature versions available by request.
Configuration options include 1x or 2x Pt100 versions in 2-, 3- or 4-wire circuits, threaded process connections, neck tube options, PTFE or Delrin® connection heads and preparation for head transmitters with 4...20 mA, UTN-500 or PROFIBUS PA interface.
The sensor uses Pt100 platinum resistance elements. Pt1000 and other measuring elements are available by request.
Configurations include 1x Pt100 in 2-, 3- or 4-wire circuit and 2x Pt100 in 2x 2-wire or 2x 3-wire circuit.
Available options include PTFE 12 mm, stainless steel 1.4571 8 mm with Halar® (PTFE) coating and one-piece PTFE 12 mm versions.
The order code includes G½", G⅜" and M20 threaded process connections, with special versions available.
The sensor can be configured without neck tube, with a standard 100 mm neck tube or with a neck tube length by request.
Connection heads include large Delrin® plastic heads and small or large PTFE heads.
Connection types are available for terminal socket, fixed-value 4...20 mA transmitter, UTN-500 software-programmable transmitter and PTN-600 PROFIBUS PA interface.
