Cleanrooms and controlled atmosphere environments depend on continuous visibility of particle concentration. This particle counter transmitter counts and classifies airborne particles by size using the laser scattering principle, supporting cleanroom monitoring as described in ISO 14644 standards.
Five particle channels give operators a clear view of contamination behavior across relevant size fractions: > 0.3 µm, > 0.5 µm, > 1 µm, > 2.5 µm and > 5 µm. Continuous operation is the default for real-time monitoring, while cyclic intervals can be configured to extend PM sensor lifetime. In continuous mode, sensor lifetime is > 10,000 hours at 1 meas./s; in 5 minutes cyclic mode, it is approximately 5 years.
Integration into monitoring systems is supported by RS485 with Modbus-RTU or ASCII proprietary protocol. Versions with two additional 0/4…20 mA analog outputs allow measured parameters to be assigned independently, and an optional CO2 sensor adds another air quality parameter where required.
