Explosion-proof continuous level sensor for hazardous liquid tanks with AISI 316 construction, 5, 10 or 20 mm resolution, LC or LCT output, up to 6 m length, 50 Bar pressure rating and IP67 protection.

Introduction

Hazardous-area tanks require level measurement that supports both process control and explosion protection. This family is explosion-proof certified for areas where flammable products are treated, with certification listed as CESI 03 ATEX 272 Ext.2 1/2G Exdb IIC T5/T6 G2/Gb.
 
The AISI 316 stainless steel construction suits liquid and fuel tank applications installed underground or outdoors. Inside the measuring rod, a magnetic float actuates a chain of resistors and reed contacts, providing continuous level measurement with 5, 10 or 20 mm resolution.
 
The configuration range supports demanding installations with lengths up to 6 m depending on the float, maximum working pressure of 50 Bar, standard working temperature up to 100°C and execution up to 150°C on request. Output options include potentiometric LC and 4-20mA LCT, with minimum ingress protection (IP) rating of IP67.

Built-in temperature sensor

For LC type only, a temperature sensor can be installed at the bottom of the rod on request, with PT100, PT1000, PTC or NTC options.
