Accurate outdoor air temperature and humidity data depends on shielding the sensor from direct solar radiation and precipitation without trapping heat. HD9007A is a passive multiplate radiation shield designed to protect temperature and temperature/humidity probes from sun, rain and wind while promoting air circulation around the sensor.
The multiplate design supports natural ventilation to reduce radiation-driven measurement errors. Discs made of UV-resistant, antistatic thermoplastic with low thermal conductivity and high reflectivity help limit heat absorption, while the white finish supports stable exposure in outdoor monitoring.
Installation is built for field work. A powder-painted anticorodal aluminum support bracket provides robust mechanical support, and the stainless steel U-bolt mounting system fits poles or masts with 30 to 50 mm diameter. HD9007A is available as a 12-ring or 16-ring version to match the mounting height required.
