Introduction

Printed records are often needed directly beside the instrument, not later at a desk. This compact thermal printer gives technicians a practical way to document readings from compatible instruments or a PC through the RS232 serial input, with 24 characters per line and standard 57...58 mm thermal paper.
 
Field work stays efficient because the printer is light to carry and simple to prepare. The four 1.2 V AA NiMH rechargeable batteries provide autonomy for up to 3000 printed lines at full charge, while the cover design allows the paper roll to be replaced in a few seconds.
 
Clear printouts and configurable operation support day-to-day measurement tasks. The printer offers 203 DPI resolution, printing speeds up to 90 mm/sec, selectable baud rates of 9600, 19200 and 38400 baud, and an automatic switch-off function that can be set to 0, 5, 10 or 15 minutes. With ABS housing, IP40 protection and operation from 0...+50 °C, it is suited to portable use in controlled industrial and laboratory environments.

Features

RS232 serial interface

The printer connects through a 9-pole D Sub male connector and supports RS232 communication with compatible instruments or a PC.

Configurable baud rate

The serial communication rate can be set to 9600, 19200 or 38400 baud. The factory parameter is 38400 baud.

Thermal paper format

The printer uses thermal paper rolls with a width of 57...58 mm and a maximum roll diameter of 32 mm.

Printing formats

Normal and extended print formats are available. The character set is IBM II 858 table with a 16 x 24 dot character font.

Automatic switch-off

The switch-off delay can be configured to 0, 5, 10 or 15 minutes. Selecting 0 disables automatic switch-off.

Battery charging

The supplied SWD10 mains battery charger provides 100-240 Vac/12 Vdc-1A charging for the four 1.2 V AA NiMH rechargeable batteries.

Status indicators

POWER and STATUS LEDs indicate charging state, readiness, switch-off activity and error conditions.
