Better irrigation and soil analysis start with knowing how much water is actually held around the roots or test volume. HD3910 probes measure soil volumetric water content with a capacitive principle, providing fast field readings with minimal disturbance to the surrounding soil.
The family covers both broader soil volumes and restricted spaces. HD3910.1 uses two electrodes and measures a volume of Ø 100 mm x H 150 mm, while HD3910.2 uses three electrodes and is suited to smaller volumes such as pots, with a measuring volume of Ø 80 mm x H 110 mm. Both versions also measure soil temperature with an NTC sensor.
Ready integration helps simplify long-term monitoring in agriculture, hydrology and geology. The probes are factory calibrated, sealed with epoxy resin in a plastic housing and protected to IP67. Output options include RS485 Modbus-RTU, SDI-12 or two analog voltage outputs for VWC and temperature, with fixed 5 m or 10 m cable lengths.

Voltage output versions are available with 0.5…3 V, 0…2.5 V, 0…5 V or 0…10 V ranges, depending on the model.
Each probe has a fixed 4-pole cable ending with open wires. Cable length is 5 m or 10 m depending on the model.
The probe can be oriented in any direction, with vertical placement recommended to avoid hindering downward water flow.
