Portable pH conductivity meter for water quality measurement

HD2156.x

Portable pH conductivity meter for water quality checks, measuring pH, mV, ORP, conductivity, resistivity, TDS, salinity and temperature, with IP66 protection and RS232C data transfer.

Introduction

Reliable multi-parameter checks in the lab or on site need one instrument that keeps the workflow simple. This portable meter measures pH, mV, redox potential (ORP), conductivity, liquid resistivity, TDS, salinity and temperature, giving technicians a broad view of water quality and related liquid parameters without changing device.

Daily measurement routines are easier to control with automatic or manual pH calibration on one, two or three points, selectable from 13 buffer values. Conductivity probe calibration can be performed automatically with standard solutions of 147 µS/cm, 1413 µS/cm, 12880 µS/cm or 111800 µS/cm.

For field use, the IP66 instrument housing supports dependable operation outside the bench. Both models transfer measurements in real time via RS232C to a PC or portable printer, while HD2156.2 adds internal logging for up to 20,000 three-parameter measurement sets and USB 2.0 connection.

Features

Probe connections

The instrument includes a BNC input for pH/mV electrodes and an 8-pole DIN45326 input for conductivity/temperature probes.

Temperature measurement

Temperature is measured with Pt100 or Pt1000 immersion, penetration, contact or air probes, depending on the connected probe type.

Measurement functions

The device calculates maximum, minimum and average values and offers relative measurement, Auto-HOLD and automatic power-off functions.

Conductivity calibration

The conductivity probe can be calibrated automatically in one or more recognized standard solutions.

Data interface

Both models use an RS232C serial port for real-time transfer to a PC or portable printer. HD2156.2 also provides USB 2.0.

Logger memory

HD2156.2 records measurement sets composed of pH or mV, conductivity or resistivity or TDS or salinity, and temperature.

Power supply

The instruments operate with four 1.5V AA batteries and can also use the SWD10 mains adapter.
