Introduction

Facade sound insulation tests need a sound field that reaches the wall evenly, especially when space is limited or background noise is high. HD2050.30 generates a uniform sound field in front of buildings and supports reliable measurements with high output across 70 Hz to 20 kHz.
 
The 129 dB spl Peak @ 1 m emission gives acoustic teams the sound energy needed for high-insulation facades. Its driver construction helps reduce sound concentration effects that can occur with standard transducers used close to walls, improving measurement conditions at higher frequencies.
 
On site, the 13.5 kg loudspeaker is designed for practical positioning in typical facade tests. It can be used with the HD2050.20 digital power amplifier, and a dedicated 45° support allows orientation on the ground or on the HD2050.1 stand where extra distance from the facade is needed.

Features

Directional sound source

The loudspeaker generates a sound field in front of a building for facade sound insulation measurements.

Two-way loudspeaker system

The acoustic section combines a low-frequency 1 x 10” neodymium driver with a high-frequency 1 x 1” Mylar® driver.

Amplifier operation

The sound source is designed to be used with the HD2050.20 digital power amplifier.

Support mounting

The HD2050.30.2 support orients the loudspeaker at 45° on the horizontal and vertical plane and mounts on the HD2050.1 stand.

Speaker connection

Two Neutrik® NL4 speakON connectors provide the signal connection to the amplifier.

Cabinet finish

The enclosure uses an anti-scratch gelcoat finish for use in acoustic measurement environments.
