Digital power amplifier for building acoustics, white/pink noise

HD2050.20

Digital power amplifier for building acoustics with 1200 W @ 12 ohm, 2 x 530 W RMS, internal white/pink noise generator, auxiliary input, PodWare DSP equalization and remote control up to 100 m.

Introduction

Building and architectural acoustics measurements often need high, controllable excitation without adding unnecessary noise to the test environment. HD2050.20 drives the HD2050 dodecahedron or HD2050.30 facade loudspeaker with 1200 W @ 12 ohm and 2 x 530 W RMS continuous power, giving acoustic teams the output needed for demanding sound insulation and room acoustics work.

The integrated white/pink noise generator reduces external equipment needs, while the auxiliary input allows external generator signals such as sine sweeps. A wireless remote control can operate the internal generator up to 100 m away, supporting practical source control during field measurements.

For site-specific response tuning, the internal DSP works with PodWare software via USB. Users can manage mute, gain, parametric EQ, shelving filters, HP and LP filters and delay, then load user setups into the amplifier memory. Factory presets for HD2050 and HD2050.30 help match the amplifier to the connected source.

Features

Loudspeaker presets

A front-panel preset button selects HD2050 or HD2050.30 operation and applies factory settings for the connected source.

Digital signal processor

The internal DSP supports user-defined equalization curves that can be created in PodWare and loaded through USB.

Measurement mute control

The generator mute function can stop emission remotely and switch off the amplifier cooling fan for quiet measurement phases.

Connection interface

The amplifier includes Neutrik® Combo input, Neutrik® NL4FC speakON output, Neutrik® powerCON AC power and USB connection.

Status indicators

Front-panel indicators show mute, active generator status and power-on state during operation.
