Rainfall monitoring gets complicated when you need long recording autonomy and quick checks on site. HD2013-DB is purpose-built to capture and store rainfall trends from tipping-bucket rain gauges, combining large memory with battery-powered operation for long deployments with minimal user intervention.
The backlit display shows rainfall quantities in real time across multiple time windows, including the last hour and the last 4, 24, 48, 72 and 96 hours, plus the rainfall total since the last counter reset. Two reed relays replace push-buttons, keeping the housing waterproof and allowing operation via a supplied magnet tool even in wet conditions.
For integration and analysis, the logger connects to a PC through an isolated RS232C serial port (115200 baud) on an 8-pole M12 connector, using the HD32MTLogger software for configuration, real-time monitoring, download and processing. The device accepts both normally open (NO) and normally closed (NC) rain gauge contacts without needing contact-type setup, and the front LED changes color with contact switching to help verify correct tipping bucket return.
Counts and stores tipping bucket emptying events and converts them to rainfall using the configured resolution.
Resolution can be set from 0.050 to 1.599 mm/sample using the HD32MTLogger software.
Stores up to 32,255 samples with cyclic memory management, overwriting the oldest samples when full.
Isolated RS232C serial port at 115200 baud via 8-pole M12 connector supports download and configuration.
LED blinks red when the rain gauge contact is open and green when closed, supporting quick installation checks.
IP67 housing can be wall mounted or fixed to the rain gauge support using the HD2003.77/40 clamping for Ø 40 mm supports.
