The HD2010MCTC is an official Class 1 portable integrating sound level meter approved by the Italian Ministry of Transport for vehicle inspection centers to perform mandatory noise tests on vehicles.
Engineered to comply with Italian Ministerial Circulars 88/95, 7938/604, and Protocol RU 79298, it ensures strict compliance for certifying that vehicles respect legal traffic noise limits.
The device includes a built-in protocol for MCTC-Net2 communication, designed for cost-effective and easy use in validating exhaust systems and acoustic horns in automotive workshops.
The HD2010MCTC performs all noise measurements required by motor vehicle inspection procedures, in accordance with the regulations of the Italian Ministry of Transport and Navigation: Circular 88/95 for light vehicles, Circular 7938/604 for motorcycles, Circular Protocol RU no. 79298 of 11/08/2009 and subsequent amendments and additions.
The sound level meter's communication protocol complies with the MCTCNet2 specifications set forth in Ministerial Decree no. 3986 of 11 August 2009.
Connecting the HD2010MCTC and a compatible tachometer, the available desktop DIR software modules integrate seamlessly into the vehicle inspection site's ecosystem to guide the operator through vehicle tests.
The intrinsic rigidity and thermal stability of the titanium membrane guarantee long-term calibration accuracy, delivering superior resistance to impacts and corrosive emissions during both environmental noise tracking and vehicle inspection procedures.
The HD2010MCTC sound level meter is available in several kits, offering configurations with or without an acoustic calibrator and specialized vehicle-testing software (DIR module).
