Continuous wind monitoring is easier when the sensor has no mechanical wear points and delivers the data your system needs. This ultrasonic anemometer measures wind speed and direction, U-V-W Cartesian components, speed of sound and sonic temperature, giving engineers a detailed basis for meteorology, aviation, tunnel, motorway, climatology and industrial building applications.
Reliable readings are supported across a wind speed range of 0 ÷ 60 m/s with ±1% accuracy of reading. The instrument also provides selectable averaging from 1 to 60 seconds or 1 to 60 minutes, helping users align output behavior with their monitoring task instead of adapting the process around the sensor.
Integration is flexible, with RS232 full duplex, multidrop RS485 half duplex and five selectable analog outputs in current or voltage. For demanding winter conditions, an optional heated-transducer version helps prevent ice formation and supports operation in sleet or snow.
The instrument measures wind speed and direction, U-V-W Cartesian velocity components, speed of sound and sonic temperature.
Averaging periods can be set from 1 to 60 seconds or from 1 to 60 minutes for all output quantities.
An integrated magnetoresistive compass provides magnetic azimuth for automatic alignment to magnetic north.
Setup and software upgrade are managed through a computer via RS232 or RS485.
Additional output quantities can be used with external sensors with 0 ÷ 1V analog output; up to five sensors can be specified.
