Air flow checks in ducts, vents and comfort environments need a handheld instrument that is easy to read on site and precise enough for daily HVAC work. The HD 2103.1 and HD 2103.2 measure air speed, calculated flow rate and temperature with hot-wire or vane probes, while Pt100 and Pt1000 probes extend use to immersion, penetration, air and contact temperature measurement.
The instruments support practical field decisions with Max, Min and Avg functions, relative measurement, HOLD and selectable units for speed, flow rate and temperature. SICRAM probes store factory calibration data in the probe module, helping reduce setup effort when changing probes.
For connected workflows, both models transfer measurements in real time via RS232C to a PC or portable printer. The HD2103.2 adds internal logging for up to 38,000 samples and USB 2.0 transfer. An IP66 protection degree and up to 200 hours of battery autonomy support reliable portable use.
The instruments connect to probes through an 8-pole DIN45326 connector and detect SICRAM-equipped probes during switch-on.
The display can show maximum, minimum and average values, relative measurement and frozen readings using the HOLD function.
Duct section area can be entered from 0.0001 to 1.9999 m2 for calculated flow rate measurements in selectable units.
The RS232C interface is electrically isolated and supports configurable baud rates from 1200 to 38400 baud.
The HD2103.2 includes an electrically isolated Mini USB type B interface for PC connection and data transfer.
The HD2103.2 records 2,000 pages with 19 samples each, with intervals from 1 second to 1 hour.
The instruments operate on four 1.5V AA batteries or with a 12Vdc / 1000mA mains adapter.
The portable ABS and rubber housing includes a large LCD with 2x4½ digits plus symbols.
