Introduction

Replacement membrane heads are the key wear parts of electrochemical oxygen sensors and act as a semi permeable interface to the measuring medium. Regular replacement is essential, as contamination, material aging, or mechanical defects can affect the diffusion rate and thus distort the measurement accuracy. High-quality replacement diaphragms ensure fast response times (t90) and stable readings, provided they are filled with the appropriate electrolyte without air bubbles and recalibrated after installation.
