pH measuring transmitter

GPHU

pH measuring transducer for control and monitoring tasks converts 0.00 ... 14.00 pH into 4–20 mA or 0–10 V, with LCD display, IP65 housing and Pt1000 temperature compensation.

Introduction

Reliable pH values at the measuring point help keep control and monitoring processes stable, especially where electrode cable lengths limit installation options. By converting the pH value directly to a 4-20 mA or 0-10V output signal, this transducer transfers readings over longer distances without the signal limitations of a pH electrode cable.

The device supports control, measuring and monitoring tasks. It works with standard Senseca pH electrodes via BNC socket and supports temperature compensation either automatically with a connected Pt1000 probe or manually through the keys.

On-site use stays practical with wall mounting, an elbow-type plug conforming to DIN 43650 and an integrated 3½-digit LCD display. The ABS housing provides ingress protection (IP) IP65, excluding the electrode and temperature probe connection sockets.

Features

Analog output variants

The transducer is available with 4-20 mA output using 2-wire connection or voltage output using 3- or 4-wire connection, depending on the model.

Electrode connection

The device uses a BNC socket for the pH electrode. Standard pH electrodes from the Senseca program can be connected, with the electrode selected to match the application.

Temperature probe input

Two Ø4 mm banana plug sockets allow connection of a Pt1000 temperature probe for automatic temperature compensation during pH measurement.

Manual temperature setting

If no temperature probe is connected, the entered temperature value is used for compensation. The value is set with the keys in the range -30 ... 150 °C.

Local display and keys

The integrated 3½-digit LCD shows the measured value, temperature information and system messages. Three keys are used for calibration and parameter entry.

Wall mounting

The housing includes fixing holes for wall mounting after the cover is removed, with a mounting distance of 50 x 70 mm.
