Conductivity meter for water analysis and quality control

GMH 54x0

Conductivity meter for water analysis, measuring conductivity, resistivity, TDS, salinity and temperature. Five ranges up to 1000 mS/cm, IP65 / IP67 housing and optional logger in GMH 5450.

Introduction

Reliable conductivity checks are easier when one handheld meter covers field work, laboratory routines and demanding process checks. The GMH 5430 / 5450 family measures conductivity, resistivity, TDS, salinity and temperature in fluids, helping users monitor water treatment, aquaculture, drinking water supply, cleaning processes and quality assurance with one compact device.

The waterproof, impact-resistant housing is protected to IP65 / IP67 and even floats, making the meter well suited to harsh environments and mobile use. A large illuminated double display keeps the measured value and temperature visible, while the 7-pole bayonet connection supports different measuring cells with Pt1000 or NTC 10 k temperature sensors.

For dependable results across different media, the devices offer five measuring ranges, automatic or manual cell constant adjustment with reference solutions, and temperature compensation with nLF according to EN 27888, linear compensation or no compensation. GMH 5450 variants add data logging, alarm functions and a freely scalable 0..1 V analog output for extended documentation and monitoring tasks.

Features

Measuring cell connection

A 7-pole bayonet socket connects suitable conductivity cells and temperature sensors for mobile or laboratory measurements.

Temperature compensation

The device supports nLF compensation according to EN 27888, adjustable linear compensation, NaCl compensation and operation without compensation.

Cell constant adjustment

Cell constants can be entered manually or adjusted with reference solutions such as 1413 µS/cm, 12.88 mS/cm, 50 mS/cm or 111.8 mS/cm.

Display and handling

The 4 1/2 digit illuminated display shows the selected measured parameter with temperature. A pop-up clip allows table use, belt attachment or suspension.

Universal output

Both models provide a serial interface via the universal output. GMH 5450 also offers a freely scalable 0..1 V analog output.

Data logger

GMH 5450 supports manual recording of up to 1,000 data sets and cyclic recording of up to 10,000 data sets with a cycle time from 1 s to 60 min.

Power supply

The meters use 2 x AAA batteries with approximately 160 h battery life without lighting, and can be supplied via USB 5100 when connected.
