Reliable conductivity checks need an instrument that fits the liquid, not the other way around. The GMH 34x1 family gives water quality teams, laboratories and field users a practical choice of handheld meters for drinking water, fresh water, seawater, wastewater and selected non-aqueous media such as oils, fuels, varnishes and paints.
The family covers conductivity, resistivity, TDS, salinity and temperature, with conductivity ranges up to 400 mS/cm on 4-pole variants and up to 1000 µS/cm on LTG versions. Integrated temperature measurement supports nLF compensation according to EN 27888 for natural waters, while manual or automatic cell correction helps maintain dependable results over time.
For daily work, the permanently connected measuring cell keeps the measuring chain clearly defined. The impact-resistant ABS housing, front-side ingress protection (IP) IP65 and approx. 150 h battery life support mobile use, while the GMH 3451 adds data logging, alarm functions and a scalable 0..1 V analog output for documentation and simple monitoring tasks.
The instruments use permanently connected conductivity measuring cells with an integrated temperature sensor in the shaft. Depending on the variant, 2-pole or 4-pole cells are available.
The display can show conductivity, resistivity, TDS, salinity or temperature. Auto-range or manual range selection is available, depending on the operating mode.
The family includes graphite 2-pole, graphite 4-pole and platinum/glass measuring cells. Shaft and electrode materials vary by variant for different media and measuring ranges.
Users can select no compensation, nLF compensation for natural waters according to EN 27888, or linear compensation with adjustable coefficient and reference temperature.
Cell correction can be entered manually or determined automatically using selectable reference solutions. The last 16 calibrations are stored with date and result.
The universal output supports a serial interface via suitable isolated adapters. On GMH 3451, it can also provide a freely scalable 0..1 V analog output.
GMH 3451 supports manual recording with measuring point entry and automatic cyclic recording with selectable cycle time from 1 s to 60 min.
Two four-digit LCDs show the measured value and temperature or memory functions. Six keys provide access to range selection, min/max memory, hold, calibration and configuration.
