Introduction

Fast soldering temperature checks help keep manufacturing quality under control, especially where the real tip temperature matters more than the set value on the station. This compact Type K probe is designed for direct soldering tip measurement: the sensing tip is wetted with soldering tin, then the iron is placed directly on the tip.

The ceramic construction, direct instrument mounting and ca. 7 g weight make the probe easy to handle at the workstation. It covers -50 ... +500 °C and uses a Class 1 thermocouple element according to IEC 60584-1, with a response time of < 5 s at liquid tin.

For documented checks, the probe can be supplied with an optional ISO 9001 calibration certificate at 70 °C and 350 °C when used with a suitable instrument such as PRO 131/135 or ECO 130.

Fast tip checks
Measure soldering tip temperature in 5 s, with T90 < 5 s at liquid tin.
Compact direct mount
Ceramic stem Ø 6 mm, ca. 20 mm long for direct mounting on the instrument. Comfortable and ergonomic operation.

Features

Solder-wetted tip contact

The sensing tip is wetted with soldering tin, then the soldering iron is placed directly on the tip to measure soldering temperature.

Many compatible meters

Listed suitable instruments include PRO 131.2, PRO 135.2, ECO 130 and ECO 130.2 for Type K thermocouple probes.
