Loop-powered display for 4..20 mA standard signals

GIA0420N

Loop-powered display for 4..20 mA standard signals, self-supplied from the measuring current with freely scalable LCD indication, min./max. memory and integrated self-diagnostic.

Introduction

A compact panel display gives operators a clear process value without adding supply wiring. GIA 0420 N connects to any transmitter with a 4..20 mA output and powers itself directly from the measuring current.

Scaling is handled directly on the device by entering the initial value, final value and decimal point position with the three rear buttons. The LCD shows values across -1999..+9999 digit, while the adjustable 3-stage filter helps steady the reading when the signal fluctuates.

For everyday process visibility, the device combines min./max. memory with integrated self-diagnostic monitoring. Together with transmitter checks for sensor break, sensor short circuit and range errors, this supports reliable local indication in machine panels and control cabinets.

Features

4..20 mA measuring input

The device connects to 4..20 mA 2-wire standard signals and is supplied directly from the measuring current.

Device scaling

Range adjustment is made by entering the initial and final value and decimal point position using three buttons on the rear.

Display functions

The LCD display has 10 mm digit height. Minimum and maximum values can be stored and called via buttons.

Panel housing

The fiber-reinforced Noryl housing measures 24 x 48 x 65 mm and fits a 21.7 x 45 mm panel cutout.

Connection

The input uses 2-pole screw/clamp terminals for wire cross sections up to 1.5 mm². Front protection is IP54.

Switching output

The device includes one electrically isolated open collector switching output for limit-related switching functions.
