Chemical and waste water samples can be hard on a pH electrode, especially where alkaline media, pressure and contamination affect stable contact with the reference system. The GE 173 is built for these demanding applications with an alkali-resistant glass shaft, ground diaphragm and gel electrolyte, helping users achieve dependable pH measurement with less handling effort than liquid-filled electrodes.
It covers 0 ... 14 pH and an operating temperature of 0 ... 80°C, with use in media above 50 µS/cm. For process-oriented installations, the electrode is pressure resistant up to 6 bar and available with Cinch, BNC or S7 connection, including a PG 13.5 thread for suitable fittings. The 3 mol/l KCl gel reference electrolyte supports low-maintenance operation in chemical and waste water applications where robust material selection matters.
Suitable for sewage, aquarium water, emulsions, galvanic baths, beverages, low-ion media (rain water, some aquariums, VE water), sea water, process chemistry, online measurements, swimming pool water, suspensions, drinking water, water-based lacquers, ...
3 mol/l KCl (gel). The reference electrolyte maintains a constant voltage in the reference system and establishes the electrical connection between the diaphragm and the reference electrode.
