Flow switch for water with adjusted switching point

G

Flow switch for water monitoring with adjusted switching point, DN 8 to DN 15, G 1/4 to G 1/2 female thread, PN 16, Reed switch, IP 65 protection and optional DIN 43650-A / ISO 4400 plug.

Introduction

Low-flow monitoring needs a clear signal before a process runs dry or leaves its intended operating window. This flow switch gives users a compact switching solution for water applications, with a factory-adjusted switching point and sizes from DN 8 to DN 15 for horizontal flow installation.

The switching principle is simple and robust: magnet-equipped balls move with the flow against the magnetic force of an opposing magnet and actuate a Reed contact. The device is designed for PN 16, media temperatures from -20...+80 °C and ambient temperatures from -20...+70 °C, making it suitable for many industrial water monitoring tasks.

Installation stays practical with female thread connections from G 1/4 to G 1/2 and a standard PG11 cable gland. Ingress protection (IP65) supports use in demanding environments, while the optional DIN 43650-A / ISO 4400 plug gives additional flexibility for electrical connection.

Features

Magnetic ball principle
Balls fitted with magnets rise in proportion to the flow against the magnetic force of an opposite-poled magnet and actuate a reed contact.
Reed switch output

The standard switching function is an opener contact rated up to 250 V AC, 1 A and 50 VA for ohmic loads.

Threaded process connection

The standard versions use female threads in G 1/4, G 3/8 or G 1/2, matched to DN 8, DN 10 or DN 15.
