Flow switch for viscous oils, DN 15 G1/2

FW4V

Flow switch for oil flow monitoring with bidirectional detection, DN 15 G1/2 female thread and 1 l/min switching point. Mechanical piston design, reed switch output and IP67 ingress protection.

Introduction

Reliable oil flow monitoring starts with a switching device that stays predictable even when the medium is viscous. This compact mechanical flow switch monitors bidirectional flow in oils and uses a spring-supported piston with magnetic actuation of a reed switch.

The factory-set 1 l/min switching point helps simplify commissioning for horizontal decreasing flow. Viscosity stability across 30..330 mm²/s supports dependable switching behavior in oil applications, while pressure resistance up to PS 300 bar gives the device the robustness needed for demanding hydraulic and lubrication circuits.

The DN 15 version connects via G1/2 female thread and is built for industrial installation with an M12x1, 4-pin electrical connector. IP67 ingress protection supports reliable use in challenging environments, and the compact 0.95 kg construction fits well where installation space is limited.

Features

Mechanical piston principle

The device uses a spring-supported piston with magnetic actuation of a reed switch for mechanical flow monitoring.

Factory-set switching point

The switching point is set at the factory to 1 l/min for horizontal decreasing flow.

Electrical switching

The reed switch operates as a normally open contact with maximum 230 V AC, 0.5 A and 50 VA for ohmic loads.

Installation orientation

Standard installation uses horizontal inflow. Other mounting positions are possible, but the position influences the switching point.

Media preparation

Straight calming sections of 5 x DN are recommended in the inlet and outlet. Filters are recommended for contaminated media.

Material construction

Wetted materials include nickel-plated CW614N, 1.4310 and hard ferrite. Non-wetted materials include PC and 1.4305.
