Mechanical flow switch for liquid media, DN 8 to DN 25

FW1-GM

Mechanical flow switch for liquid flow monitoring with 1 to 11 l/min H2O switching ranges, DN 8 to DN 25 and G 1/4 to G 1 internal threads. Reed switch, brass/POM construction and IP67 protection.

Introduction

For liquid flow monitoring where cost, simple switching and robust mechanics matter, this family gives you a practical way to detect flow in water applications. The spring-supported piston is magnetically coupled to a reed switch, giving a clear mechanical switching principle for liquid media.

The compact brass and POM construction is designed for liquid media and specified as dirt-insensitive, helping it cope with less-than-perfect water conditions when the recommended filter is used. Sizes cover DN 8 to DN 25 with G 1/4 to G 1 internal threads, switching ranges from 1 to 11 l/min H2O and a pressure rating of PN 100 bar.

Commissioning stays straightforward: the switching head can be shifted into position after loosening one screw, then fixed again. With max. 230 V AC, 0.5 A and 50 VA switching data, plus ingress protection rating IP67, the unit is well suited to dependable flow indication in liquid circuits.

Features

Mechanical piston principle

The flow switch uses a spring-supported piston with magnetic actuation of a reed switch for liquid media.

Threaded connections

The family covers nominal sizes DN 8 to DN 25 with internal threads from G 1/4 to G 1. Further connection types are possible on request.

Switch head adjustment

The switching head is moved after loosening a screw and fixed again once the desired position is reached.

Media versions

The standard configuration is specified for water. Switching values for oil and versions for aggressive media are available on request.

Installation guidance

A straight calming section of 5 x DN is specified in the inlet and outlet. Filters are recommended for contaminated media.
