Pressure transmitter with stainless steel membrane

EPS2

Pressure transmitter for liquids and gases, covering 0...0.6 to 0...2000 bar relative pressure with stainless steel thin-film cell, < 1 ms response, 4...20 mA two-wire output and G 1/4 A connection.

Introduction

Fast pressure changes in hydraulics, pneumatics and process control need a transmitter that reacts quickly and withstands demanding industrial use. EPS2 measures relative pressure in liquids and gases across ranges from 0...0.6 to 0...2000.0 bar, giving machine builders and plant operators a broad choice from one transmitter family.

The stainless steel measuring cell is hermetically welded and uses a polysilicon thin-film bridge on a stainless steel diaphragm. An analog signal path with Mixed-Signal-ASIC conditioning supports response times below 1 ms, while digital calibration contributes to long-term stability and a compact total error.

The robust all-metal housing suits applications from test technology and mobile systems to water technology, HVAC and industrial robots. With 4...20 mA two-wire output, M12x1 connection as standard and ingress protection IP 65 / 67, EPS2 fits cleanly into process and automation environments.

Features

Thin-film pressure cell

The sensor uses a thin-film pressure measuring bridge on a stainless steel diaphragm.

Hermetically welded cell

The stainless steel diaphragm is vacuum-tight and designed for media compatible with stainless steel.

Analog output

The transmitter provides a 4...20 mA two-wire output for connection to industrial control systems.

Process connection

The mechanical connection is a G 1/4 A male thread with stainless steel 1.4301 connection material.

Electrical connection

The standard version uses a 4-pin M12x1 circular connector; DIN 43650-A / ISO 4400 is available as an option.

Application areas

The transmitter is used in hydraulics, test technology, pneumatics, industrial robots, mobile systems, process control, HVAC, water technology and automotive technology.

Installation sealing

The transmitter is screwed into a socket or T-piece and sealed with the integrated ED sealing ring.
