Compact CO₂ monitor for air quality and hygiene monitoring

ECO 420

Compact CO2 monitor for air quality monitoring, measuring CO2 up to 19999 ppm / 2.000 % depending on variant, with NDIR sensor, alarm function, 3-line LCD, Min/Max/Hold and rechargeable AA NiMH batteries.

Introduction

Reliable CO2 checks are easier when the instrument is compact, readable and ready for mobile use. The ECO 420 series monitors CO2 in ambient air and slightly elevated CO2 environments, supporting air quality monitoring, air hygiene checks, greenhouses, energy management, research and education.

Measured values are captured with an NDIR CO2 sensor and shown on a 3-line LCD with backlight, battery status and bar graph. The series covers 0 .. 2000 ppm CO2 with specified accuracy for ECO 420-02, or 0 .. 19999 ppm CO2 / 0.000 .. 2.000 % CO2 for ECO 420-20, with a 2 second measuring cycle.

For practical daily work, the monitor combines Min/Max/Hold, configurable optical and acoustic alarms, and selectable TWA or STEL average value display. Rechargeable AA NiMH batteries give approx. 24 hours battery life without backlighting, while the Micro USB socket keeps charging simple between uses.

Features

NDIR CO2 measurement

The device uses non-dispersive infrared sensor technology with a single-channel detector module to measure CO2 through the openings at the instrument head.

Average value display

The auxiliary display can show either TWA over 8 hours or STEL over 15 minutes, selectable through the configuration menu.

Operating functions

Min/Max records the minimum and maximum measured values, while Hold freezes the current display value for later reading.

Alarm settings

The alarm can be configured for text insertion, acoustic signal and flashing backlight, with separate pre-alarm and main alarm limits.

Power and charging

Two AA NiMH rechargeable batteries power the device. Charging takes place via the Micro USB socket and is visualized in the charge status display.

Adjustment functions

The CO2 sensor supports 1-point adjustment, 2-point adjustment and basic sensor adjustment using clean ambient air or suitable test gases.
