Reliable air pressure and elevation readings are essential when weather, altitude or reference measurements matter. The ECO 230 measures absolute air pressure from 300.0 to 1100.0 hPa abs. and derives altitude from -500.0 to 9000.0 m, giving users a compact handheld meter for barometric measurements and elevation determination.
Daily work becomes easier with a clear 3-line LCD, adjustable white backlight and HOLD, Min and Max functions for quick value checks in the field. Sea level correction helps align pressure readings for weather-related use, while the adjustable altitude setting supports altimeter operation when conditions change.
Designed for portable use, the break-proof ABS housing with ingress protection (IP) IP67 withstands demanding environments. Two AA batteries, low current consumption and configurable automatic switch-off support long operation, with typical battery life of approx. 6000 hours in SLO mode without backlight.
The device measures absolute pressure in air and calculates altitude when meters or feet are selected as the display unit.
Pressure can be shown in hPa, mbar, PSI or mmHg, while altitude can be displayed in m or ft.
The bar display shows pressure or altitude tendency with selectable time bases of 1s, 60s, 1h or 3h.
In altimeter mode, the tendency display can show rate of ascent or descent in m/s, ft/min, m/h or ft/h.
The device can display air pressure compensated to sea level after the current altitude is entered.
Min, Max and Hold functions support value review during measurement, and the NVLL tare function zeros the barometer display.
Users can select FAST at approx. 2.5 measurements per second or SLO at approx. one measurement every 4 seconds.
Zero point and gradient correction are available through the adjustment menu.
