Stored hay and straw can heat up inside the stock long before the risk is visible from outside. Regular core temperature checks help farmers and fire brigades assess stored material, especially after fresh storage or when moisture content is high.
The robust fiberglass probe penetrates hay and straw stocks with a hardened exchangeable cutting tip, the integrated Pt1000 sensor measures internal temperature from -20.0 ... 120.0 °C. Probe lengths of 4 m and 6 m support checks at different storage depths, and the 1.5 m BNC probe cable gives practical handling distance between probe and handheld instrument. The device provides ±0.1 K ±1 digit accuracy from -20 ... +100 °C, plus probe inaccuracy.
A 3-line backlit display, hold function, min/max memory and alarm function make measured values easy to read and track on site. The impact-resistant ABS housing, IP67 protection and approx. 5000 h battery life with 2 x AA alkaline batteries support regular use in demanding storage environments.
The probe has a Ø 10 mm fiberglass body with a hardened cutting tip. It is available in 4 m and 6 m lengths.
The probe uses a 1.5 m BNC cable for connection to the handheld instrument.
