Data logger for autonomous sensor data transmission

DLF4

Data logger for autonomous sensor data transmission with 0/4…20 mA, 0…10 V, 0…2200 Ohm, RS485 Modbus RTU and digital inputs, plus LTE-M1/LTE-NB2/EGPRS transfer, Bluetooth® 5.2 and IP68 protection.

Introduction

Remote measuring points are easier to manage when sensor data is captured, stored and forwarded without regular site visits. DLF4 records values from up to 7 connected sensors and transfers them automatically to the ACS Web Portal or an FTP server via mobile network. It supports analog 0/4…20 mA, 0…10 V and 0…2200 Ohm signals, RS485 Modbus RTU and digital switch or counter inputs.

Outdoor installations are supported by flexible power concepts: 19 Ah or 35 Ah lithium battery, 20 Ah LiION accumulator, DC supply from 7…32 Vdc or PV module charging. The hermetically sealed housing is overflow-proof up to 3 m and rated ingress protection (IP68), helping maintain operation where water, weather and hard-to-reach locations complicate maintenance.

Configuration is handled on site via Bluetooth® 5.2 or remotely through the web portal. Non-volatile Dataflash memory stores \geq 800,000 measured values, while alarm management can report flood or low-water risks early.

Features

Analog inputs

Ai1/Ai2 process 0/4…20 mA and 0…10 V signals, while Ai3 covers resistance signals from 0…2200 Ohm.

RS485 communication

Ci1/Ci2 provide bidirectional RS485 communication using Modbus RTU at 9600 Baud, configurable from 4800…38400 Baud.

Digital inputs

Di1/Di2 can be configured as switch inputs or pulse counters for functions such as float switches or flow meters.

Sensor supply outputs

Uo1…Uo4 provide time-limited sensor supply. Uo5 can be used as an alarm control output or as a continuous supply for an external device.

Local configuration

Bluetooth® communication supports on-site operation with the SmartConnect app. The password for first access is the device serial number.

Mobile connection

The integrated SIM links the device to the web portal. An external Micro-SIM can be used for transfer to a user-provided FTP server.

Mounting

The aluminum wall housing can be mounted directly to a wall or, with a bracket, to a mast with 50…90 mm diameter.
