Flow monitoring often needs more than a live value on a display. DF9648 measures actual flow rate and total flow with pulse flow sensors, then displays the values or converts them into an analog output for further processing.
The meter supports sensors with AC output, Namur, NPN, PNP, Push-Pull or switching contact signals. A second measuring input is available for addition or subtraction, helping adapt the device to different flow measurement tasks. The display range is programmable, with up to 3 decimals for flow and totalizer values.
For process control and dosing tasks, up to 4 relay or transistor alarm outputs can be configured with min./max. behavior, hysteresis and delay times. The isolated analog output provides 0/4 ... 20 mA or 0/2 ... 10 V, while the optional pulse output supports external summation of flow quantity. The DIN 96x48 mm panel case has front ingress protection IP65.
The measuring input is programmable for sensors with AC output, Namur, NPN, PNP, Push-Pull or relay contact signals. External pulses from 0/5 ... 24 V DC are also supported.
The device uses the programmed K-factor of the flow sensor and supports selectable flow units including litre, m³, US gallon and US barrel with second, minute or hour time base.
Two totalizers can be programmed. The daily totalizer resets with power-off, while the overall totalizer is zero-voltage protected.
A second input is available as an ordering option. Input A and input B can be configured for addition or subtraction.
Alarm outputs can be assigned to flow, daily totalizer or total totalizer. Switching behavior, setpoint, hysteresis and on/off delay are programmable.
The analog output can be assigned to flow, daily totalizer or total totalizer, with programmable start and end values and decreasing characteristic if required.
The optional pulse output generates external summation pulses based on the programmed volume per pulse.
The configuration includes lock functions for the configuration level, all parameters or analog output calibration settings.
