Contact temperature measurement on hard surfaces depends on the right probe head for the surface, temperature and access point. AX 131-S probes give users a choice of optimized measuring head designs, from compact copper or silver probes to ceramic heads and Ø 15 mm spring band versions.
The family supports Type K measurement across ranges up to -65 … +900 °C, depending on the variant. Class 1 thermocouple material according to IEC 60584-1 gives a strong basis for accurate readings, while compatible PRO 131.2 and PRO 135.2 instruments support correction factor input for surface-related temperature gradients.
Built for regular professional use, the probes use corrosion and temperature resistant stainless steel stems. The ergonomic handle is rated up to +120 °C, and cable options include 1 m or 2 m silicone cable, a coiled cable stretchable to approx. 1.2 m, miniature flat plug or loose ends.
The family includes S4, S4S, S5, S8 and S15 versions with different measuring head designs for hard surfaces.
Versions are available with straight heads, angled heads or angled tubes, depending on the probe variant.
The probes use silicone-coated thermocouple cable in 1 m or 2 m standard lengths, other lengths on request, or a coiled cable stretchable to approx. 1.2 m.
