Safe switching in intrinsically safe circuits depends on approved components with clearly defined electrical limits. These switch heads add Reed contact switching to HD1, HD2, MR1 and HR2 device series and carry ATEX approval BVS 03 ATEX E390 X for use in intrinsically safe circuits.
The changeover contact supports controlled switching up to max. 30 V and max. 1 A, with negligible internal capacitance and inductance. A media temperature range of -20...+120 °C covers demanding operating conditions, while ingress protection (IP65) helps protect the plastic housing in industrial environments.
Connection can be matched to the installation. ATEX A-H4.1 is available with a blue, 3-core numbered cable in 2.5 m or 5 m length. ATEX A-H4.2 uses a DIN EN 175301-803 Form A device connector for cable diameters from 6-11 mm. The switching value can be adjusted longitudinally and fixed with a fastening screw.
The switch heads use a Reed contact with changeover function. Electrical values are specified for ohmic loads.
The units are intended only for intrinsically safe circuits. A suitable isolating switching amplifier must be provided.
ATEX A-H4.1 is supplied with a blue, 3-core numbered cable. Versions are available with 2.5 m or 5 m cable length.
ATEX A-H4.2 uses a DIN EN 175301-803 Form A device connector for cable diameters from 6-11 mm.
The switch head can be adjusted longitudinally. Once the switching value is reached, the switching unit is fixed with a fastening screw.
The housing is made of plastic and provides ingress protection (IP65) according to industrial standard.
