Safe switching in potentially explosive atmospheres starts with a component designed for the circuit. This intrinsically safe switch head adds Reed contact switching to the HR1MV device series and is approved under BVS 03 ATEX E390 X for use in intrinsically safe circuits.
The unit helps protect measurement and control setups where defined switching points matter. Its changeover contact operates at max. 30 V and max. 1 A, with negligible internal capacitance and inductance. A media temperature range of -20...+120 °C and ambient temperature range of -20...+50 °C support demanding industrial use.
Installation stays practical on site. The switch value can be adjusted longitudinally and fixed with a fastening screw, while the blue 3-core numbered cable is available in 2.5 m or 5 m length. The black coated steel housing with nickel-plated brass sliding plate provides ingress protection (IP65) according to industrial standard.
The switch head uses a Reed contact with changeover function. Electrical values are specified for ohmic loads.
The unit is intended only for intrinsically safe circuits. A suitable isolating switching amplifier must be provided.
The switching unit can be moved longitudinally for setting. Once the switch value is reached, it is fixed with a fastening screw.
The electrical connection is made via a blue, 3-core numbered cable. Versions are available with 2.5 m or 5 m cable length.
The housing is made of black coated steel, with a nickel-plated brass sliding plate and ingress protection (IP65).
